Tuesday scent of the day 9/30

It’s Tuesday and the last day of September, plus the last day of the swapmeet. (Don’t forget your rabbits first thing tomorrow, and Donatella will be dropping by on Thursday, so start adding up those receipts.) What fragrance are you wearing? 

I am feeling much better than I was last week, but I’m still commando and might stay that way for a few more days. Tea at the moment is Upton Black Mu Dan, brewed with a bit of cardamom.

Reminder: on 10/3, wear a fragrance that you feel is misunderstood or underappreciated…

Lazy 3-day weekend poll ~ open thread, late September 2025

The swapmeet is open for business through Tuesday! Then Donatella will be dropping by on Thursday.

Meanwhile, we’re marking the last weekend in September with our usual open thread poll. Talk about anything you like — the fragrance you’re wearing today, where you’ll go on your next out-of-town trip and the fragrance you’ll bring along, whatever.

Friday scent of the day 9/26

It’s the first Friday of Autumn (unless you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, in which case you know what to do). Also, happy Johnny Appleseed Day! Birthdays: T. S. Eliot, Olivia Newton-John, Serena Williams. The swapmeet is still open! Our community project for today: wear something to celebrate the new season. 

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

Happy Almost-Friday and happy National Comic Book Day! Birthdays: William Faulkner, Donald Glover, Glenn Gould, Pedro Almodóvar. What fragrance are you wearing?

I am still sick and slept terribly late…apologies to the early birds who went looking for the daily poll! Thankfully I have not (knock on wood) lost my sense of smell but I still have no desire to wear perfume. And, still way behind on comments and losing ground daily. I will catch up eventually.
