Exposed to the smell of mixed herbs
We invited participants into our sensory laboratory at Auckland University of Technology. Each person was exposed to the smell of mixed herbs while shopping in a virtual supermarket. Shoppers purchased more wholesome baskets of goods when exposed to the herbal smell compared to the non-herbal smell (baked goods).

The European Commission has fined International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. and International Flavors & Fragrances IFF France SAS (together "IFF") €15.9 million ($17 million) for obstructing a Commission inspection in 2023. The Commission found that during the inspection, a senior employee of IFF intentionally deleted WhatsApp messages exchanged with a competitor.

The bees could successfully tell the difference
In a separate experiment, Saha’s team collected air lingering above lung cells grown in the lab. The bees could successfully tell the difference between air samples taken near healthy cells and those gathered near cells of two cancer types: small-cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer.
