I could keep this alive as long as cut flowers, right? Brussel's Bonsai 8-inch White Gardenia in Clay Pot: "Your small 4 year old bonsai will arrive at 6-inch to 8-inch tall in a 6-inch container and will perform best outdoors." $35 at Lowes. Harry & David has a nicer looking one (in the image, anyway) for $69.99, or there are two sizes at Bonsai Boy ($49.99 - $69.95).

The earthy scent of petrichor

Fresh Rain Gin aims to replicate the earthy scent of petrichor, the term given to the smell given off when rain falls on dry soil after an extended warm period. Also called geosmin, the smell is produced by bacteria in the earth. The distillers found that geosmin is also present in beetroot, and used the root vegetable together with edible Bentonite clay (for a drying sensation on the palate) to replicate the experience and aromas of fresh rain.

The 2018 holiday video from Burberry, with Naomi and Valerie Morris-Campbell, Kristin Scott Thomas, M.I.A. and Matt Smith. (Vogue UK says: “In contrast to the festive campaigns under Christopher Bailey, which were as warm-and-fuzzy as they come thanks to a line-up of British favourites including Julie Walters, Riccardo Tisci’s holiday outlook is less saccharine, more eccentric.” If you were hoping for more warm fuzzies, here are the 2015 and 2016 extravaganzas. I missed the 2017 one — featuring Cara Delevingne and Matt Smith — altogether so I’ve included it below the jump.)
