Bunny & bonsai
First up, a bunny at the Portland Japanese Garden. Then below the jump, Kevin Bielicki of Longwood Gardens demonstrates how to start a bonsai from nursery stock (about 11 minutes).
Caerhays x 5
Caerhays Castle in Cornwall, normally open from February to June, has the largest collection of magnolias in the UK, and impressive collections of other flowering trees and shrubs as well. The current owner, Charles Williams, appears in a number of these videos; he also owns Burncoose Nurseries. We start with a 2014 video for an introduction to Caerhays and Burncoose, followed by (below the jump), drone footage of the magnolias from March of this year (3 1/2 minutes). Then from May of last year, Mr. Williams talks about the scented rhododendrons at Caerhays (about 5 minutes), followed by a more general tour from this week of the azaleas and rhododendrons blooming in the garden (7 minutes), and then a late April tour of three magnolias (4 minutes).
