A public service announcement for fans of fragrance blogs…

Posted by Robin on 2 February 2006 11 Comments

It has been really amazing to watch the number of perfume blogs skyrocket over the last year, to say nothing of the blogs on fashion, shoes, accessories, beauty, even eyeshadow. If you're feeling overwhelmed, I have some advice: get a blog reader. If you already have one and you're still overwhelmed, I can't help you, but if you don't have one, read on…

Perfume review: coming soon…

Posted by Robin on 13 January 2006 2 Comments

Stayed up late last night & so was very tired this morning, and crawled back in bed for a little nap. Brain now wrapped in fog, which as it happens, matches today's weather perfectly. Will post a real perfume review tomorrow afternoon.

Here is my usual compensatory perfume ad: this one from one of my favorite online browsing sites, Parfum de Pub. They don't make 'em like they used to.

Fragrance of the day: have just sprayed on a little Christian Lacroix Tumulte Pour Homme to see if I like it as much as Marlen does. Later will try next to Comme des Garçons Avignon to see if they are similar, as was suggested in the comments.

Wishing everyone a happy Friday the 13th.

Life intervenes, again: no perfume review today

Posted by Robin on 5 January 2006 21 Comments

Yes, once again I am behind. On everything. Despite that am off to do some perfume shopping and see what new fragrances have hit the stores. It promises to be a banner year for fragrance: check out the New Perfumes page, where there are already 90-odd releases listed for the coming year. How will we all keep up?

Promise to be back tomorrow with a real review of something or another. In the meantime, here is a lovely ad for Etro Musk from Images de Parfums, for no reason other than I love the colors.

Happy holidays

Posted by Robin on 23 December 2005 22 Comments

Christmas stampsI meant to post a holiday message this morning, but as usual I was running late. I am just back from a nice lunch with a perfume friend, followed by a few last minute holiday errands. I am wearing the Jo Malone Pine & Eucalyptus room spray layered with some i Profumi di Firenze Arancia Dolce concentrata that a kind reader sent me. It is a great holiday fragrance combination.

Wishing everyone a very happy and safe holiday weekend! Tonight I will be wrapping presents, tomorrow night we will be tracking Santa's progress at Norad. I will be back Monday afternoon with a post about the best selling fragrances of 2005.

Fragrance of the day: Bvlgari Omnia, but no review today…

Posted by Robin on 9 December 2005 30 Comments

Last night I stayed up late fiddling around with my iPOD instead of putting the finishing touches on today's fragrance review. Now snowed in with small child. Will probably have to play 20-odd rounds of Candyland before the day is through. If that doesn't rot my brain entirely, will post a real fragrance review tomorrow.

I love Bvlgari Omnia. It has reportedly been spotted recently at TJ Maxx, but I've had no luck finding it at mine so far.
