From the Avery Fragrance Animal collection, the frog: "The AVERY Scent Animals collection is a line of ceramic animals entirely Made in Italy with gold-effect plating. The animals were exclusively created for AVERY Perfume Gallery shops as unique design objects, designed to add a rare touch to the environments they are placed in. As their name would suggest, these ceramic creatures can be combined with perfumes, absorbing fragrances and diffusing them around any given space. AVERY has created a miniature zoo that can bring a hint of life to any environment in a stylish, poetic, and distinctive way." $55 at Neiman Marcus.

Scented candles from Annick Goutal's new Home Collection. Right now I am lemming the green one ("Un Jardin Aromatique draws inspiration from the great tradition of English gardens that display an extraordinary palette of colours and scents, mixing aromatic plants like sage, mugwort and mint with freshly cut grass.") or the black (not shown; "Bois Cendrés tells the story of a magical and mysterious wood where anything is possible. A flash of sparks releases an enchanting swirl of woody smoke.") $72 for 185g. Over the pond, they also sell refills (€37, about $43) so you can reuse the glass.

Skeem's Palo Santo collection includes burning sticks ($24 - $64), soap ($16), essential oil rollerballs ($20), room spray ($32), candle ($36) and solid perfume ($18). "Palo Santo is a sustainably cultivated wood from South America that has natural aromatic properties from its resin. The scent is complex with rich, musky, sweet, citrus notes mixed with mint and pine. This “holy wood” is traditionally burned to ward off bad energy, calm and cleanse the body and mind, and to bring good fortune to those who use it."

While I was musing over yesterday's drawer liners, I also came across this adorable little number from Diptyque: the lavender wand, $48. "Produced in partnership with the Maison Franc, this scented curiosity, symbol of French tradition, is entirely handmade with lavender from Provence. The lavender heart slips into all the small spaces to diffuse its entirely natural perfume." Perhaps I was the only one who had never heard of a lavender wand? Turns out you can make one yourself (although I'm pretty sure mine would not look like the one shown above). Here are instructions from the English Lavender Farm.
