Aesop's brass oil burner: "An object of substance and beauty—a unique, refined alternative to traditional burners. Designed for Aesop by Studio Henry Wilson and crafted from solid brass. [...] Dispense five to ten drops of your favoured Oil Burner Blend into the oil well. Use a standard tea light candle." $170. If you don't already have the perfect oil you might consider their Anouk blend with lemon, bergamot and ylang ylang, $39 for 25 ml.

A new year, a new lemming from Diptyque. "Two singular rose scents in candles that can be lit together or separately. Individually, each candle releases its own singular scent. Together, they complement each other as the refreshing, delicate fragrance of one mingles with the luxurious, honeyed notes of the other." Damascena and Centifolia are available in 70g mini ($36) or 190g full size ($72), at Nordstrom.

From Rituals, the Green Cardamom candle. "Cardamom is one of the world’s very ancient spices and was already used in incense and perfumes in ancient Egyptian times. Think woods, spices and sweetness and you touch the essence of Cardamom." 360g for $45 at Belk.
