Diptyque holiday collection 2021

Posted by Robin on 19 October 2021 12 Comments

Diptyque’s holiday collection for 2021 is out. We start with “…a trio of limited edition scented candles with gold-coloured lids, decorations in actual gold paint and colours that call to mind malachite, lapis lazuli and cornelian. Each of the three scents is a unique interpretation of a winter classic, and hence the ideal accompaniment for the holiday season: Flocon, an olfactory transcription of snowfall, with light, velvety notes of white musks blended with those of mimosa, a winter flower; Biscuit, with the spicy flavours of festive end-of-year desserts enhanced by the density of patchouli; and Sapin [see close up below], the fragrant freshness of mountain pines intensified by the woody notes of an open fire.” The 190g candle with gold lid is $78; the 70g votive is $42 (or a boxed set of 3 is $126)…

Yep, it's Pumpkin Spice season (and has been since early August, if new products are any indication.) One of the entries from Soap & Paper Factory: Pumpkin Chiffon Home Fragrance Spray. "Our Pumpkin Chiffon Home Fragrance Spray is high octane (pressurized)  and totally aerosol-free. It only takes a few pumps to fill your space with cozy notes of caramelized Pumpkin, spicy Cinnamon & sultry Vanilla bean. This excellent spray is also great for cars & offices, and for giving your space a little pop of SPICE!" $16 for 85g at Smallflower.

Acqua di Parma's holiday collection for 2021 (including the advent calendar) features an Emilio Pucci print, and a portion of the proceeds go to Save the Children's Rewrite the Future campaign. Shown is the Notte di Stelle Diffuser: "The Vortici print dresses up both the bottle and the box of the Notte di Stelle diffuser, a real design object to perfume the home with the special atmosphere of the Holidays. A warm and bright fragrance where the balsamic notes of pine oil and the scents of birch and guaiac wood are combined with the spicy accents of clove and the pungent hint of raspberry." Available in 180 (€91) and 500 (€185) ml. (There is also a candle in two sizes. I have not seen this year's design in the US as of yet, but these are usually sold at Neiman Marcus and other high end department stores.)

I'm not all sure I need my cleaning vinegar scented, but it does sound nice: Household Vinegar from Pikoc in Santal Frais. "The stubborn smell of white vinegar is over. With Pikoc scented vinegars, be confident that you will have a big smile during your cleaning sessions! Certified Ecocert and made with 100% natural perfumes. Santal Frais is the strength of sandalwood and cedarwood mixed with the audacity of cardamom and ginger spices." $17 for 500 ml at Beautyhabit. (And I almost forgot, but this is the same brand that makes an orange blossom laundry detergent I was wanting last month.)
