Posted by Jessica on 5 July 2019 12 Comments

Earlier this month, I dove into the new fragrance line Hermetica. This week I took a step back to revisit Memo, Hermetica’s older “sibling” brand, and I sampled two fragrances that I hadn’t tried before — one new, one old, both developed for Memo by perfumer Aliénor Massenet.

The new release is Winter Palace, summarized as “Tea and Fire.” Its composition includes notes of grapefruit, dry amber wood, bergamot, benzoin, cistus labdanum, orange, styrax, tolu, vanilla, red tea, musk, tonka bean, lemon, maté and Gurjum balsam. From Juniper Ridge, Douglas Fir & Rosehips tea: "A soft, savory tea that sings with the flavor of clean mountain air and the resonant note of rosehips. Harvested from California’s northern coast, this simple blend dances with sweet fragrance and a spark of tanginess. Serve hot for a restful companion in the cold, or chilled for the perfect refreshment after a long day outside." 20 tea bags for $13 at Juniper Ridge.

More tea? Why not. "A premier destination for world-class tea, Fortnum & Mason has supplied tea to the royal houses for more than 300 years – an achievement honored by numerous Royal Warrants of Appointment. To celebrate Mother's Day, the legendary British company created a signature blend that showcases black tea from Sri Lanka accented with the fresh flavor of fennel seed, lemon peel, safflower, orange peel and marigold petals." $32.95 for 100g at Williams Sonoma, where the Easter Tea ("Celebrating the arrival of springtime, this signature blend combines low-grown Ceylon black tea with colorful marigold and cornflower blossoms. To highlight its refreshing floral character, the blend is infused with the delicate aromas of elderflower and orange blossoms") is currently marked down to $9.99.
