It’s (teapot) Tuesday and the last day in April, plus International Jazz Day. Birthdays: Alice B. Toklas, Annie Dillard, Jane Campion. What fragrance are you wearing?

I’m in Berdoues Assam of India since people were talking about it in the comments yesterday. Tea at the moment is Yunnan Golden Buds Organic from Upton with a sprinkle of nutmeg.

Happy Almost-Friday! It’s also National DNA Day, World Penguin Day and Ella Fitzgerald’s birthday. What fragrance are you wearing?

I’m in Diptyque L’Ombre dans L’Eau, because allo wore it yesterday, and because it’s a good match with the grounds of the National Mall (a favorite park as a child, when it was much less crowded than it is these days), particularly the Kathrine Dulin Folger Rose Garden administered by The Smithsonian.

Reminder: 4/26 is Frederick Law Olmsted’s birthday…
