Before I move on to my own scent of the day, I’d like to pause for a minute and talk about the comment policy. It’s been a tough year, and things are quite unsettled at the moment. We can talk about it here, but only in a very limited way: we avoid politics as a rule, and I think everyone would agree that doing so has allowed us to remain a 99% polite and caring community for 15+ years now, regardless of what’s happening in the larger world. So, I am asking everyone, including myself, to be extra vigilant. You can mention protests or riots, yes. You can talk about attending, you can talk about how they’ve affected your daily life. But please, it would be better if you did not add any value judgments about what is happening or the official response to it, and it would be better if I were more vigilant about removing statements that could potentially make someone else uneasy. So I am going to try to do that, and I hope everyone will understand. If you have questions, or if you see a comment that disturbs you, please feel free to email me!
