I went with the “what would I wear with a Tiara in April” approach, and I’m in a dab of vintage Jean Patou Joy…
Happy Almost Friday, happy World Art Day, happy National Anime Day and happy Universal Day of Culture! It’s also Leonardo da Vinci’s birthday, and if you’re in the US, it’s kinda/ sorta Tax Day (the tax filing date has been postponed to May 17, but if you pay estimated taxes, they’re still due today). What fragrance are you wearing?
So I can think of three basic ways to approach the right scent for a spring clean: wear something über sophisticated (and maybe a tiara) to elevate the task, wear something motivational to get you going, or wear something incredibly cheerful to keep your spirits up. Today, I’m taking the third path, in Diptyque Oyédo (although I also considered Ormonde Jayne Osmanthus).

I’m in Imaginary Authors Whiff of Waffle Cone, thanks to a kind reader. (It does not remind me of waffle cones, possibly because I have been eating the wrong waffle cones and need to get myself over to Salt & Straw.) Tea at the moment is Kusmi Tchaï of the Tiger.
