I’m in Kenzo Air, which cost peanuts when I bought it many moons ago — it’s rare now and costs more than peanuts, less than many new perfumes — and which is admittedly showing its age. Tea at the moment is Numi Chinese Breakfast.

I think what I would miss the most is the smell of real flowers, so I’m in the perfume from my collection that smells the most like real flowers: Aftelier Candide. (My runners up, but I have only a few drops left of each, would be CB I Hate Perfume On A Clear Day You Can See Forever or April Aromatics Jasmina; if I still had any at all I would have considered Hiram Green Moon Bloom…)

DeniseH commented yesterday that what she would miss after nine months in space were natural odors, not perfumes, and that is pretty much how I feel. For the next three days I’ll wear perfumes that come close to natural smells on earth, starting with the scent of soil, CB I Hate Perfume Black March.
