It’s Tuesday, plus World Freedom Day and Chaos Never Dies Day. (And, less weighty but possibly important to someone: National Scrapple Day.) Birthdays: Ivan Turgenev, Dorothy Dandridge, Robert Frank, Carl Sagan and Mary Travers. What fragrance are you wearing?

I’m in Maison Margiela Matcha Meditation. Tea at the moment is Upton Dikom Estate + Upton Yunnan Golden Monkey + organic cacao husks + a few little chips of cinnamon bark + a splash of milk. (I am liking my tea more than I’m liking my fragrance.)

Friday scent of the day 11/5

Happy Friday and happy Guy Fawkes Day! And a very happy 61st to Tilda Swinton. Our community project for today: wear Like This, or any other Etat Libre d’Orange fragrance, if you have one. If you don’t, or if you’re not in the mood for Etat Libre d’Orange (or if you just wore Like This for the Pumpkin Spice project), do something else. You could listen to Tilda Swinton read the Rumi poem that inspired the fragrance, and choose something based on that?

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

I’m wearing the first Etat Libre d’Orange fragrance I came across this morning, You or Someone Like You. It does not remind me of Tilda Swinton. If it helps anyone, I was just reminded this morning that she wore Penhaligon’s Bluebell for 25 years before she collaborated on Like This.
