It’s Tuesday, plus Heritage Treasures Day in the UK. Birthdays: Alice Paul, Clarence Clemons and Naomi Judd. What fragrance are you wearing?

I’m in Maya Njie Vanilj. Tea at the moment is a blend of three black teas from Upton (Christmas Tea + Old South Meeting House Blend + a teeny pinch of Lapsang Souchong).

Foody Friday in January is the sort of community project I can do all week. I’m starting off relatively low-cal and with perhaps only partial points, with the whisper of spiced biscuit in Dries Van Noten par Frédéric Malle.

It’s the first Friday in January. Our community project for today: wear a fragrance to match Very Peri, Pantone’s color of the year for 2022. What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

I was pretty much stumped with Very Peri until Kanuka mentioned hyacinth yesterday. I’m in L’Artisan Jacinthe des Bois. We have 3 inches of snow on the ground so it’s also working as ‘a new vision as we rewrite our lives’ and placing ‘the future ahead in a new light’…
