Instead, I’m in bed recovering from a COVID shot last night, and it isn’t likely I’ll bother with perfume. Hopefully I will be back tomorrow!

According to her obit at The New York Times, Diana Vreeland usually “breakfasted on tea and oatmeal” (and Harper’s Bazaar says she “ate the same lunch every day: a whole-wheat peanut-butter-and-marmalade sandwich, washed down with scotch”). So in her first two meals of the day, at least, Vreeland went for comfort and expediency over fabulousness, and I’m matching that with a cup of Numi Chinese breakfast and a spritz of Guerlain Cologne du 68.
