The daily lemming

And I just made a Lush run, too...looks like I'll have to go back. Sticky Dates shower gel: "Enjoy sweet hydration! This Eid-inspired shower gel is ideal for after fasting when the skin needs a little extra TLC. Lather on moisture-retaining organic date syrup, soothing sandalwood oil and cleansing orange juice for a hydrating shower that will leave your skin feeling revived, renewed, and refreshed." (If the UK reviews are to be believed, it smells like sticky toffee pudding.) $11.50 - $38 at Lush USA.

More Lush to want! Mimosa shower gel: "Make every morning a celebration with our Mimosa Shower Gel. The mimosa flower is a bloom commonly used to celebrate women, so we used that beautiful aroma to inspire this citrus-infused lather, made with fresh orange juice and floral elderflower. We even added a wink of wine lees oil to give it a boozy hint of bubbles. Wake up, suds up and celebrate!" $10.95 - $36.95 at Lush USA.

From Italian brand L'Amande, Foam Bath in Liguria Citrus Fruits: "L'Amande Ligurian citrus shower gel, delicate for daily use by the whole family. Its formulation, particularly attentive to the well-being of the skin, is enriched with vitamin C which promotes the metabolism of collagen and with the organic essential oils of green mandarin, bitter orange, sweet orange and lemon with refreshing and anti-stress properties." $25 for 500 ml at Smallflower. (Also tempting: bath foam in Trentino Spruce and Swiss Pine.)

Lush is getting ready for Valentine's Day, and among other items there's a new shower gel: I Can Resist Everything But Temptation. The long description ("Whether you love to share showers or go it alone, you'll want to get wild with this irresistible body wash. It starts with the perfect throuple: an infusion of cinnamon, red rose petals and ginseng, ingredients that are known for their aphrodisiac effects, and then kicks it into high gear with cinnamon leaf oil for an extra-spicy good time. So go ahead, lather up, enjoy the moment, and just try to resist this one") is tempting but ruined for me by the short description ("A sweet, sharp, apple-scented candle"). Maybe it's your lemming, maybe not.

New stuff from Lush UK that I hope gets to the US soon: Sweet Wild Orange Hand Balm ("Sublimely orange scented, refresh and cool with this hard working hand cream. Suitable for everyone, the glycerine and aloe formula will moisturise and repair the skin"; £12 for 100g) and Posh Chocolate Body Wash ("This deliciously self-centred chocolate body wash is packed with aloe vera and glycerine to soften and hydrate delicate skin"; £8 for 100g or £15 for 225g). Both products come in tubs. Also new-ish for the holiday season, Jolly Shower Gel ("Imagine taking all the smells of Christmas—the citrus, the spice and everything nice—and turning it into a shower gel. A Jolly thought, isn't it?") and Jilted Elf Body Spray ("Keep Jilted Elf on a shelf or somewhere close by when you need a quick spritz of its energizing grapefruit, cinnamon and ginger aroma").
