A pretty, pretty, pretty new bottle of Shalini Parfum Iris Lumière: the Aurora flacon. "Shalini Parfum is pleased to announce the launch of The Aurora flacon on May 2023, a limited edition flacon for Iris Lumière, the fifth fragrance in the collection of the opulent Pure Parfums De Extraits. This series is created with Master Perfumer Maurice Roucel and is inspired by the Moods and Passions of the soul." $1,100 (oops! and it's probably going to evaporate through that bulb atomizer anyway) for a signed and numbered (11 were made) 100 ml Parfum at Saks.

Shalini Jardin Nocturne

My fragrance is inspired by the night air of Dubai. Driving during the night in the city with the stars above, the warm desert air scented with the Oud that ceremoniously burns, caresses your skin.

This quote is from the PR materials accompanying my sample of Shalini Jardin Nocturne. Right now, I’m about as far from a Dubai night as you can get. I can’t drive anywhere, let alone in Dubai, because my 31-year-old pickup truck is in the shop. I live in the soggy Pacific Northwest, not a desert, and the only thing ceremoniously burning might be my toast…
