The daily lemming

From the limited edition Intuitia collection at Rituals, Whipped Body Cream: "Take a moment to pause and pamper your skin with our limited-edition whipped body cream. This indulgent formula is enriched with Vitamin E beads, Q10, and a luxurious blend of cold-pressed rosehip, shea butter, and natural oils. The tiny beads melt into your skin, delivering deep nourishment and hydration. Infused with the floral-woody-spicy notes of saffron, sandalwood and vanilla, it not only leaves your skin velvety soft and radiant, but beautifully fragrant too." 220 ml for $28 at Rituals, where you'll also find a Luminous Body Exfoliator, Exfoliating Hand Wash, Bath Silk, Velvety Foaming Shower Gel, candle and Eau de Parfum in the same collection.

Ritual's model in the car fragrance category, the car perfume, is cheaper than some (Acqua di Parma, Jo Malone, Diptyque) and more expensive than others (Joya, DS&Durga, Little Trees). It's basically a wood diffuser that clips into your air vent. My pick of the fragrance options: Orris Mimosa ("Life is a journey, so enjoy the ride with this car perfume based on the beautiful fragrance composition of orris root and mimosa flowers, lifted by distinct leathery accents and gentle woody aspects. The car perfume lasts up to 6-8 weeks and is activated by the air flow from your car's fan"). It's $22 at Macy's.

From Rituals, the Green Cardamom candle. "Cardamom is one of the world’s very ancient spices and was already used in incense and perfumes in ancient Egyptian times. Think woods, spices and sweetness and you touch the essence of Cardamom." 360g for $45 at Belk.

From Rituals' limited edition Holiday 2018 collection, The Ritual of Yalda, a burning papers set. "Celebrate the longer nights in good company and create your own wishing ceremony with this wishing box. 1. Tear out a sheet of perfumed paper. 2. Write down your wish & fold it. 3. Light it, blow it out & place it in the tray. 4. Watch it glow as it sends your wish into the universe. 5. Enjoy the mesmerising scent of pomegranate & watermelon." The set comes with 36 perfumed wishing papers, the bowl and a box of matches. €17.50 at Rituals in the Netherlands (it is also available elsewhere, but at the moment I cannot find it in the US although parts of this collection are here.)

Of course I am tempted by a fig room spray, especially one that's free if you know your (perfume) maths: Wild Fig Parfum d'Interieur from Rituals. "A natural perfume spray to create a unique aromatic sensation in the home. [...] The fragrance of fresh fig is reminiscent of warm days when the air is filled with the complex fragrance of ripe summer fruits from the Far East". $35 for 500 ml at Macys.
