Parfums de Nicolai Eau d’Ete fragrance review

Posted by Robin on 28 July 2005 23 Comments

Parfums de Nicolai Eau d'Ete fragrance

Eau d’Été was released by Parfums de Nicolaï in 1997. It has notes of lime, grapefruit, blood orange, jasmine, cinnamon, balsam, and musk.

Eau d’Été has long been one of my favorite summer fragrances. The top notes are sharp citrus, with a sparkling grapefruit that never turns sour on the skin and lots of zesty lime. It eases gently into into a soft blend of jasmine and citrus…

Nicolai Eau Exotique fragrance

Eau Exotique is the latest fragrance release from Parfums de Nicolaï. The notes feature lime, petitgrain, sweet orange, cassis, mango, jasmine, vetiver, patchouli, cedar, and musk.

Eau Exotique opens with citrus and summer fruits. It smells green and sparkling, rather like a fruity summer cocktail…

Back to orange blossom fragrances…

orange blossom

Continuing with the orange blossom perfume discussion that started with Santa Maria Novella Acqua di Colonia on Sunday (with apologies for the brief interruption caused by Barbara Bui), here is a round-up of some other orange blossom scents I have tried. I started to include Serge Lutens Fleurs d’Oranger, which had several mentions in the comments to Monday’s orange blossom post, but in the end I left it out. It is a much more complex perfume than the others listed here, and refused to be summed up in a few easy sentences. I will give it more space on another day.

Côté Bastide Fleurs d’Oranger: This is a basic but pretty orange blossom, with just a touch of green and possibly some light citrus notes…
