Lazy weekend poll ~ open thread, mid-January 2014

Posted by Robin on 11 January 2014 309 Comments

blue-cold

Hey, did you enjoy the polar vortex? I know I did (#sarcasm).

Coming up next Saturday, in addition to another lazy poll, our first freebie meet. Similar to the swap meets (and with like rules)*, but instead of trading your unloved perfume bottles and samples, just give them away to a good home. If there’s sufficient interest, we’ll do these twice a year. Then our first split meet (to arrange bottle splits) will be on Saturday, February 8, and I’ll post the rules for that the week before. The next swap meet is Saturday, March 15.

Meanwhile, today, our standard-issue open thread poll: talk about anything you like — the perfume you’re wearing today, the perfume you can’t bring yourself to buy even though you want it, whatever.

Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…

Christmas Mandala

Happy Holidays! We’ll be back on Thursday. In the meanwhile, feel free to talk about whatever you like: what perfume you’re wearing today, what you’re cooking (or eating) for the holidays, what you’ll buy on Boxing Day, anything at all.

Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…

Welcome to winter! If you are lucky enough to live somewhere where it’s the first day of summer, please don’t gloat. Plus, happy one year anniversary of the day the world didn’t end!

Same old open thread poll: talk about anything you like — the perfume you’re wearing today, the perfume you can’t make up your mind about, whatever.

Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…

It’s National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day in the US. It’s also International Civil Aviation Day, and in Columbia, it’s Día de las Velitas (Day of the Little Candles).

We’re having our usual open thread poll. Talk about anything you like — the perfume you’re wearing today, the last perfume you decided you couldn’t live without, whatever.

Or, ask a question about fragrance, then see if anyone else has asked a question that you can answer…

cranberry-pear-pie

Happy Thanksgiving and / or Hanukkah to everyone who is celebrating today.

Whether you’re celebrating or not, feel free to talk about anything you like: what fragrance you’re wearing today, what you’re feeling thankful for, what you’re going to eat for dinner, what you’re planning to buy on Black Friday…whatever you like, so long as it doesn’t conflict with our comment policy.
