The almost-daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 23 June 2023 7 Comments

From Lush, honoring the new West Anderson film, Asteroid City shower gel: "Visit Asteroid City, Farm Route 6, Mile 75. Gaze in wonder at the bright blue skies that hang above desert canyons and a 5,000 year old meteorite crater. If you can't make the journey, then let Lush bring the golden days of kitsch and 1950s Americana into your shower. Starring the zesty and elevating oils of grapefruit and bergamot alongside a sweet, playful, and nostalgic blackcurrant fragrance, this cleansing shower gel's pastel-blue palette matches the sprawling desert skies found in the film." Limited edition, $25 for 290g at Lush USA.

A lemming for Super Mario fans? (Or for anyone, like me, who can hardly stand to see a new Lush Shower Gel without at least thinking about it.) From the new collaboration at Lush, Mario Shower Gel: "Lashings of fresh pomegranate juice and Persian lime oil combine to create lathers of fruity cola fragrance. Soften your skin, and leave a pep in your step ready for a journey to the Mushroom Kingdom. Just watch out for those pesky pipes ..." $12.50 - $40, and you might also check out the new Princess Peach body spray (peach + pineapple + blood orange) and the Bowser Shower Jelly (cinnamon + lime + benzoin).

I know many of you join me in not wanting glitter in your shower gel, but if you don't mind it and you're a fan of Lush Honey I Washed The Kids, this one's for you: "Lather up in liquid gold with our vegan shower gel that's filled to the brim with plastic-free glitter and the mouthwatering, toffee scent of Honey I Washed The Kids. The cheerful blend of Brazilian orange and bergamot oils make this shimmering wash the sweetest Easter treat there is." Golden Egg is a limited edition for Easter, in 3 sizes $11-37.

A lemming for the 1st of March: Rock Star Rabbit bar soap from the Easter collection at Lush. "Reminiscent of sweet, sugary rock candy, this virtuoso rabbit will get you singing in the shower and living your best rock star life. Come backstage after the show, and indulge in decadently softening, cleansing lathers fragranced with vanilla absolute." £6 for 90g at Lush UK.

A lemming for the overly stressed: Lush Rose Eye Pads. "Soothing fresh aloe vera and carrageen seaweed will ease puffiness and provide a boost of hydration to your delicate eye area. With rose water to help reduce dark circles, these eye pads are perfect to enjoy with our fresh face masks, helping you to emerge refreshed." Single use, store in fridge until you're ready to use. £3.50 for the pair at Lush in the UK.
