3 perfumes: Le Labo Another 13, Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia, Lust by Gorilla Perfume

Posted by Robin on 26 October 2010 84 Comments

Three perfumes — Le Labo Another 13, Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia and Lust by Gorilla Perfume at Lush — in search of a theme. Sorry folks, we have no theme.

Le Labo Another 13

Le Labo’s new Another 13, their limited edition fragrance with AnOther magazine, is one of several recent ambrox-heavy1 scents. Gorilla Perfumes Gallery exhibit: exterior and perfume display

Gorilla Perfume, the new fragrance division of Lush, has been promoting its line of scents with a traveling “fragrance gallery.” This exhibit is promoted by Gorilla Perfume as “a winding olfactory maze of wonderment,” and it was recently installed in New York City for three days of sensory delights.

The gallery was set up within a converted brick townhouse building on a cobblestoned street in SoHo, and it occupied three levels of rooms and corridors. A printed map guided visitors through the building, where the Gorilla team had utilized nine atmospheric stonewalled chambers to bring its various scents alive through decorations, lighting, and sound effects (not to mention a refreshment or two)…

Gorilla Perfumes Smell of Freedom

Gorilla Perfume at Lush, a new label introduced earlier this year with Tuca Tuca, has introduced five new fragrances, and a number of older Lush perfumes have now been folded into the Gorilla Perfume line. All of the fragrances were created by Mark Constantine, founder of Lush, and/or his son, Simon.

Older Lush perfumes now under the Gorilla Perfume name include Ginger, Flower Market, Icon, Vanillary and Karma. Eleven perfumes from the defunct B Never Too Busy line are also included in the new effort: Dirty, Ladyboy, 1000 Kisses Deep, Dear John, Cocktail, Breath of God, Inhale & Exhale, B Scent, Superworld Unknown and Love.

The five new fragrances are The Smell of Freedom, Imogen Rose, Orange Blossom, Lust and The Smell of Weather Turning…
