Alteya Organics Jasmine & Ylang-Ylang Lip Balm

More jasmine for the lips (for previous, see here & here) — Alteya Organics Jasmine & Ylang-Ylang Lip Balm: "Alteya’s Organic Jasmine Ylang-Ylang Lip Balm is rich, nourishing lip treatment that may help bring reliable protection for sensitive lips from the harsh environment. Formulated with rich botanical oils, it helps reveal soft, beautiful and healthy lips." $3.99 at Smallflower (also: Vanilla Geranium, Rose, Lavender, Lavender Mint, Grapefruit Zdravetz).

Korres Jasmine Lip Butter

For anyone who is still wishing for a tub of that Rodin lip balm but doesn't want to spend so much, here's a cheaper alternative: Korres Jasmine Lip Butter. "This rich butter leaves lips deeply moisturized, supple, and kissably soft. Korres Lip Butters are formulated with natural oils and extracts to soothe and condition lips. Shea butter and rice wax provide lasting hydration and softness. This shiny, juicy pop of color comes in an array of "flavors" and is ideal for dry lips." (I have not smelled or tested it, but I can vouch for the Korres Jasmine Shower Gel.) $12 for 6g at Sephora.

The blush colored balm combines jasmine, orange flower oil, shea butter, beeswax, and castor seed oil." Available in a square lucite compact (5g, $34) or in a lucite ring (1g, $15). At Nordstrom.

About $4 each at Lip Smacker…

Violet beauty products, 1

After writing last week’s review of Fabergé Straw Hat, I took a look around and realized that my violet obsession isn’t restricted to perfumes. I’m applying and ingesting and inhaling other violet-perfumed products on a regular basis, too. Here’s a quick round-up of some favorites.

Lush Daddy-O shampoo (top center image) is anything but a “shrinking violet” —its floral aroma is rich and vibrant, with added notes of ylang ylang and violet leaf to add complexity. The scent will linger in your hair all day…
