A back-to-school lemming: scented gummy bear highlighters. (C'mon, you know you need these.) "These tiny adorable bears are tiny adorable highlighters. Our Scented Gummy Bear Highlighter makes reviewing notes a cuddly adventure. These bear shaped highlighters are easy to hold, fun to use and they have amazing scents! Scents: coconut (yellow), orange juice (orange), watermelon (green) and strawberry (pink)" $19 for a tub of 24 at Geddes.

A lemming for Kenzo Flower fans: the Glow Stick. "The lingering fragrance of the iconic FLOWER BY KENZO Eau de Parfum in a glow stick for body with poppy extract. The pearly texture and powdery finish illuminate, smooth and perfume your skin like a beautiful flower. How to use it? Apply the FLOWER BY KENZO glow stick to your pulse points (behind the ears, wrists, nape) and other beauty points (cleavage, inner elbow), then blend it with your fingers to create your “perfumed light” look." In 14g.

A pretty tin of rose bud infusion for Teapot Tuesday: "This carefully-sourced infusion from The East India Company draws on only the finest rose buds available, resulting in an enchanting variety which will you transport you directly to the awe-inspiring mountains and deserts of its native Iran. After being meticulously dried using only traditional methods, the result is a perfume-like scent which is balanced by the herbal sweetness, guaranteeing the strongest possible taste with every brew." 50g for £40 at Harrods. (Or, for about $9 you can get about 100g of dried organic rose buds on Amazon, without the tin, and without transporting you to awe-inspiring mountains, etc. and etc.)

We are having a banner year for tomatoes in my little corner of the world. This is what I need for late September, when caprese season ends: Lycopersicon Esculentum / Tomato room spray from Carrière Frères. "A botanical cloud rises in the sillage of the Carrière Frères’ room spray. Its faceted silhouette is an homage to ancient apothecary jars highlighting the herbalist inspiration behind the brand. Made out of recycled and recyclable glass, it comes in the shape of an apothecary flask and is recognizable to its bluish tint. Capped with an oak top and silver pump, the room spray is filled with a 100% natural alcohol-base." $65 for 200 ml at Aedes.

A frivolous lemming for Frivolous Friday: the Rosebud Gorjuss Doll from Santoro. And yes, she smells. "Add to your Santoro Gorjuss collection with this Rosebud doll. Wearing an adorable dress with a woven bag, she has roses entwined in her hair and is delicately scented with rose and honeysuckle. When playtime is over, she looks just as pretty up on the shelf– proudly display Rosebud rather than confining her to the toy box." £70 at Harrods.
