Will Cire Trudon ever stop trolling me? I’ll take a few of the new L’Œuf diffusers, please (and a few rolls of that wallpaper shown in the background at right, while you’re at it). In biscuit porcelain with a satin-black turned wood base, available in the Ernesto, Abd el Kader and Cyrnos fragrances, and sold with 300 ml of the fragrance, $350. Yes, I was already hungry. Shortbread cookies from Makabi & Sons, in Oaxaca flavor (shown; "Shortbread butter cookies with rich cocoa, sweet cinnamon and a hint of cayenne"). Also available in Maroc ("with roasted pistachio, fragrant rosewater and aromatic cardamom"), Verdon ("with floral lavender") and Oxford ("with creamy vanilla and fragrant earl grey tea"), plus three other flavors, $7 for 6 cookies at the brand website. Beautyhabit has a few of the flavors too, at $9.

Issue 9 of Nez is out, and so is Vetiver in Perfumery: "Originating in India and cultivated principally in Haiti, vetiver is a topical grass whose tangled roots contain a fragrant essence that can be extracted via steam distillation. At once fresh, citrusy, vegetal, woody and smoky; vetiver’s essential oil is a perfume all on its own. Though once emblematic of classic masculine perfumery, vetiver has long-since become a staple of the perfumer’s palette and lent its characteristic aroma to countless compositions for both men and women." 96 pages, $25 at Luckyscent (and Issue 9 is $29 for 160 pages, plus they still have Issues 3-8 in stock).

Spendy, but I would take one if it fell in my lap: Chantecaille's Pure Rosewater in a limited edition travel spray. "Chantecaille icon Pure Rosewater draws on the uplifting, refreshing aromatherapy benefits of the rose to instantly revive the skin and spirit. Now in limited-edition rose-designed packaging, this portable aluminum collector's bottle is perfect for travel, or for everyday on-the-go use at work or at the gym. The potent formula contains 100% of the Rose de Mai, including the total extract of the petals and all its essential oils, which Sylvie first discovered in a field in Grasse, France nearly 20 years ago. Crafted in France with the highest quality pure botanicals." $59 for 75 ml.
