From Miller Harris, Etui Noir Soap: "A masculine celebration of inky black leather with the warm intensity of the tactile powder of iris to create an exciting sense of contrast. Evocative of leather’s many forms; well-worn jackets, patent boots and suede gloves, the Etui Noir Soap is rich and uncompromising. Etui Noir Soap can also be used as a shaving soap, thanks to added charcoal. The natural Etui Noir Soap combines British rapeseed oil with coconut oil, organic shea butter, glycerin and vitamin E to leave the skin cleansed and moisturised." 200g for $25 at Miller Harris.

Boujee Bougies is a new candle brand, and many of you know one or more of the principals behind the project. Nick Gilbert, who used to comment here regularly when he was working a perfume counter, went on to work for Les Senteurs, Penhaligon's and L'Artisan before launching Olfiction along with Thomas Dunckley (you might know him as The Candy Perfume Boy), Ezra-Lloyd Jackson and perfumer Pia Long. Their five offerings include Succulent ("With juicy green notes of cactus and tomato leaf, Succulent is verdant and fresh, evoking a glass conservatory overflowing with lush tendrils") and Queen Jam ("Queen Jam is a Finnish conserve made from raspberries and bilberries...Our Queen Jam throws in a few roses..."), as well as Cuir Culture ("pup masks, leather jackets, old books"), Gilt ("whispered confessions, incense smoke, gold leaf") and Hellflower ("sulphur, burning flowers, brimstone"). 60g for £25 or 220g for £55, at Boujee Bougies.

From Aftelier, pomanders in any of the brand's fragrances: "Our modern interpretation of a medieval pomander: an amulet that people carried with them, filled with sweet-smelling aromas to brighten their day. Our Perfume Pomander kit contains an elegant dropper-bottle of eau de parfum, 3 felt balls and a silk carrying pouch. Put 5 drops of the perfume on a felt ball and carry it in its pouch or your pocket. Touch and smell the felt ball whenever you want to feel soothed and uplifted. You can also simply wear the perfume on your skin." Shown is the new Violet Ambrosia, $60.
