The daily lemming

Gosh, I'd nearly forgotten all about Patyka. They're a French organic brand, and their perfumes, which I don't think they make anymore, were talked about on MakeupAlley's fragrance board, oh, another lifetime ago. I came across their Néroli Divin shower gel online the other day ("Revitalize the mind, body and soul with citrus zesty notes and organic botanicals that comfort and cleanse. Let the unique essence carry you away to Tangier, an inspiring city full of light") and then realized there are others: Bois Precieux ("visualize relaxing along the bank of Rio Madeira in Porto Velho, admiring the canopy") and Raisin Perlé ("your mind’s eye journeys into the mountain of Reims, strolling along the scenic vineyards to admire the sun-kissed grapes"). $35 each (not a bargain then, but cheaper than Lush) for 250 ml at Patyka US.

Roger & Gallet's Jean Marie Farina, possibly the world's first Eau de Cologne (or maybe not) has never been my absolute favorite, but wouldn't this 500 ml splash bottle look lovely in the bathroom? $250 at Smallflower.

As long as we're catching up (a bit — I am pretty sure I've missed way more) on Caron today, here is the Les Colognes Caron collection, introduced last summer ("Exuberant sillages, rich compositions, daring statements... When CARON attaches its name to the world of Colognes, it shakes up the codes ! Who said fresh scents had to be fleeting? Our perfumer Jean JACQUES has defied every archetype, designing five fragrances that are both powerful and invigorating"), with five fragrances (left to right, L'Invitation Au Voyage, L'Invisible Qui Luit, Champ Bleu Du Ciel, Ivre De Liberté and L'Heure Vagabonde) in gorgeous engraved bottles, apparently only available in their Paris boutique. If you want one, you have to call or stop by. I have no idea what they cost, but I'm sure I'll take the lot.

From Naturopathica, the Chill Chocolate Vine Stress Candle: "This elegant, deliciously scented candle, made from natural, vegan soy wax, comforts the senses with relaxing accord of rich dark chocolate and sweet honey, rounded by a warm subtle undernote of vanilla to chill the mind and relax the body." $48 at Neiman Marcus. (There is also a diffuser, stress mask, detox toner and eye balm.)

Another lemming from Floris, thanks to galbanumgal: Violet Mouthwash. "Modern violet tones meet Floris tradition with this concentrated mouthwash in a beautiful glass bottle. A breath freshening, glamorous and sophisticated approach to dental hygiene in just six beautiful drops, bringing grace to your morning routine as well as a touch of stately decadence for any bathroom shelf. [...] Just six drops applied to 60ml of warm water is all that is required and a 100ml bottle can be expected to last at least 2 months if used daily." $65 at Floris, and also available in Rose for the same price.
