A French court on Friday ordered online auction site eBay to pay 80,000 euros (118,000 dollars) to Louis Vuitton for selling fake luxury perfumes, LVMH said.
"The court found that in using key words from certain LVMH brands, eBay had commited several acts of counterfeiting," LVMH said in a statement.

Abercrombie & Fitch says they are suing Beyonce over the use of the name Sasha Fierce, which they say is the name of her new perfume with Coty. Abercrombie says that violates their trademark on the name Fierce. Coty says she isn't using the name Sasha Fierce for her new perfume anyway. Everybody gets free publicity, hooray! Nude Brands Ltd., a cosmetics company founded by the wife of U2’s Bono, Ali Hewson, lost a London court bid to block fashion designer Stella McCartney from introducing a new perfume this weekend.
Stella McCartney Ltd., a unit of L’Oreal SA, plans to begin selling the fragrance named “STELLANUDE” in the U.K. on Aug. 22, according to the judgment. Hewson’s Nude Brands has a European Union trademark on “nude” in capital letters and asked the London court for an order delaying sales of the perfume pending a full trial on trademark issues.

The founders of Nude Skincare are suing Stella McCartney’s company for the use of the word “nude” in her new fragrance, Stella Nude, according to the Daily Mail.
Ali Hewson, who is married to U2’s Bono, and Bryan Meehan, who founded organic food chain Fresh and Wild, are suing Stella McCartney Parfums for compensation over branding and use of the word “nude”.

L’Oreal SA, the world’s largest cosmetics maker, won a ruling from the European Union’s highest court that will allow it to block a group of perfume makers from marketing “smell-alike” versions of its fragrances.
