A New York judge Friday ordered pop star Prince to pay $3.95 million to a perfume maker for failing to promote the 3121 line of scents.

Cutting them out of a deal

Britney Spears has agreed to pay a beauty company following a legal battle over a perfume deal, it has been reported. The 29-year-old singer had been accused by brand management and consultant company Brand Sense Partners of cutting them out of a deal.

Colluding to keep prices high

A French court has fined perfume giants including Chanel, Christian Dior and L'Oreal a total of 40 million euros ($53 million) for colluding to keep prices high.

The flamboyant pop star

Prince, the flamboyant pop star with 10 platinum albums, should pay nearly $4 million in damages for welshing on his promise to promote a perfume named after his latest CD, a special referee in Manhattan concluded after conducting a four-day inquest on damages.

Stinks to the tune of more than $10 million

A brand marketing company that brokered a deal for Britney Spears' fragrance line sued the singer and her father Wednesday, claiming the pair secured a new deal that stinks to the tune of more than $10 million.
