Miss Carlota, Guerlain Bois d’Armenie and Penhaligons Lily & Spice ~ new fragrances

Miss Carlota fragrancesMiss Carlota is a new trio of perfumes from French beauty salon & spa Carlota. Lait Miel is a gourmand fragrance with notes of bergamot, peach, apricot, jasmine, violet, tuberose, heliotrope, tiare, monoi, honey, coconut milk, chocolate, vanilla, dried fruits and caramel; Ambre Musc Santal features citrus, floral notes, patchouli, sandal, cistus, vanilla, benzoin and musk; Rose Jasmin Fleur d'Oranger has the three floral notes of its name in addition to violet, ylang ylang and woody musk.(via osmoz & creassence)

Guerlain will launch the next fragrance in the L'Art et la Matiere line, Bois d'Armenie, in September…

Cuir Beluga, Rose Barbare & Angelique Noire: Guerlain L’Art et la Matiere

Guerlain Cuir Beluga, Rose Barbare & Angelique Noire

L’Art et la Matière is a trio of fragrances released earlier this year to coincide with the opening of Guerlain’s newly refurbished flagship boutique. The perfumes were “curated” by Sylvaine Delacourte, Guerlain’s director of fragrance development. Three noses were asked to create fragrances, or, to quote the press release, to “freely express passion for an original, precious raw material”.

Olivier Polge has taken on leather, and the result is Cuir Beluga, with notes of mandarin orange, immortelle flower, leather, amber, heliotrope and vanilla…

Still more on the Guerlain flagship renovations…

Guerlain has provided the following list of fragrances that will be available in the newly renovated flagship store on the Champs Elysées (see picture here):

The following fragrances, all created by Jacques Guerlain and reconstituted by Jean Paul Guerlain, will be reissued: Kadine (1911), Sous Le Vent (1933), Cachet Juane (1937), Vega (1936) and Ode (1955).
