Holiday fragrance gifts 2011, part 3

Posted by Robin on 30 November 2011 22 Comments

Our series of holiday gift posts continues; today we’ve got more travel sizes, coffrets and roll-ons. If you missed them, here are links to part 1 (scented body products) and part 2 (travel sizes & coffrets). Coming up next: home fragrance.

Atelier Cologne Discovery set, Orange Sanguine

From Atelier Cologne, a “discovery set” in the Orange Sanguine fragrance: “Enclosed in an elegant Venetian blue gift box and tied with our signature aubergine leather ribbon” with Orange Sanguine Petite Cologne ( 30 ml) plus an Orange Sanguine Soap, a leather case, a miniature funnel and a sample pack. $65 at Neiman Marcus…

Holiday fragrance gifts 2011, part 2

Posted by Robin on 27 November 2011 14 Comments

Our series of holiday gift posts continues; today we’ve got travel sizes, coffrets and roll-ons — and we’ll have more of the same coming up next week. If you missed part 1 (scented body products), you can find it here.

Chantecaille rollons

From Chantecaille, new travel roll-ons, each in its own case: “Chantecaille’s beautiful signature scents now have convenience and portability. The elegant, silk-screened glass tube arrives in a chic white faux-croc pouch.” $68 for 8 ml, available in Petales, Kalimantan, Vetyver, Tiare and Frangipane. At Neiman Marcus…

Holiday fragrance gifts 2011, part 1

Posted by Robin on 25 November 2011 22 Comments

It’s Black Friday or Buy Nothing Day — take your pick. Whether you’re shopping or not, it never hurts to look, right? We’re kicking off this year’s string of holiday gift posts with a bunch o’ scented bath & body products. Lots more to come!

Guerlain Vol de Nuit Powder Spray

To start things off, we’ve got the eminently covetable (and reportedly as good as it looks) Vol de Nuit Powder Spray from Guerlain: “Inspired by the legendary Vol de Nuit fragrance, this silky, ethereal loose powder creates a light-reflecting veil with a subtle iridescent finish. The powder is perfumed with the mythical Vol de Nuit fragrance. Apply on the face, body and hair for an allover glow!” $87 for 17.5 g at Nordstrom…

Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2011, part 20

Posted by Robin on 15 November 2011 28 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Lalique Nilang

I do not know if this one is a limited edition or not — Lalique has repackaged Nilang for 2011, and this is the crystal bottle for the Parfum. “Round, sensual, tactile, a crystal sphere nobly presenting two delicate, blossoming lotus flowers. Intertwined, petal against petal, the two flowers present themselves in a bouquet, their stems merging together at the discovery of the delicious nectar.” 100 ml, 1200€…
