A lemming for Teapot Tuesday: The Haunted Tea Cozy Room Spray from Heretic. High on my want list at the moment: Heretic Parfum Osmanthus, a collaboration with the nonprofit botanic garden Ganna Walska Lotusland in California. “100% natural Osmanthus is a limited edition Lotusland X Heretic collaboration that blends bright citruses, creamy florals, and verdant grasses in a 10mL oil-based rollerball fragrance.” With lemon peel, bergamot, orange leaves, osmanthus, jasmine and vetiver. $45 at Heretic or from the Lotusland shop.

Heretic Parfums Dirty Lemon & Dirty Mango ~ fragrance reviews

My “Dirty” series is about taking classic, beautiful ingredients and putting a new spin on them – letting their hair down, smudging their lipstick and exploring new territory. I wanted to build a fragrance around the spontaneous and energetic aspects of lemons but wanted to bring something new and even a little naughty to lemons’ squeaky clean nature. — Douglas Little, Heretic Parfums.

Dirty Lemon (listed notes include lemon, bergamot, petitgrain, juniper, lime, sandalwood, pink and black pepper, ylang-ylang and patchouli)

Coming from Heretic, Dirty Grass, which perfumer Douglas Little says smells like "new mown hay", and features vetiver, lavender and hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD, and yes, you can absorb it transdermally). $75 for 15 ml Eau de Parfum. (via wwd)

Heretic Parfums Dirty Ginger ~ fragrance review

For those of you whose first response to the words CUMIN + PERFUME is to clutch your pearls or bite your pinky ring…you may ignore Heretic Parfums Dirty Ginger;* this guy is dirty with the ‘raunchy’ spice.

Dirty Ginger starts with the aromas of traditional medicine (I’m thinking Ayurveda): dried fruit peels and herbs, leaves and seeds, stored next to a block of white camphor. The herbs move from the medicinal to the culinary realm quickly, and if you’re in the mood for a good curry or Indian pickle (with its mustard seeds, ginger, vinegar and coriander), you may start to salivate…
