Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming ~ perfume review

Posted by Robin on 3 March 2008 35 Comments

Tommy Hilfiger Dreaming fragrance

Dreaming is the latest fragrance from Tommy Hilfiger, and is meant to appeal to “the Tommy girl grown up”* (but not too grown up: the target market is 18-30). According to Tommy Hilfiger himself…

Tommy Girl is a declaration of independence and Tommy Girl 10, a journey on the open road. Dreaming, on the other hand, captures the sophistication of a woman. It's sensuous, seductive, yet playful and unexpected.**

Dreaming was developed by perfumer Stephen Nilsen, and features peach, tuberose, freesia, white hibiscus, white woods and orris. Developed by Givaudan’s Caroline Sabas, the fragrance is described as a “fruity floral” with top notes of mandarin and lemon, apple blossom and white freesia; a heart of star magnolia, dewy gardenia, night blooming jasmine and musk, and a drydown of creamy sandalwood, cashmere woods, sugi wood, tonka and amber…

Annick Goutal Eau de Camille & Eau de Charlotte ~ fragrance reviews

Annick Goutal Eau de Charlotte perfume

The Annick Goutal line occupies a rather in-between place among perfume fans — the company probably qualifies as niche based on their size and their limited distribution; still, they are available in a number of mainstream stores (three department stores in my local mall carry them), and the line doesn’t feel niche. The feminine perfumes are emphatically pretty, romantic even; they don’t, like so many niche perfumes, challenge traditional notions of what a woman ought to smell like.

Eau de Camille and Eau de Charlotte are both very much in that mold. They were created by Annick Goutal for her daughters…
