Happy Cinco de Mayo, and happy May-bee Baby Friday! Our community project for today: wear a honey fragrance, or a fragrance with a honey note. Thanks to happy888cat for the suggestion!

I was going to out-honey everyone today with Serge Lutens Miel de Bois, but I’m not quite up to it this morning. I’ve got a bit on a blotter, and even that is not making me very happy. I predict I will go commando today…

Happy Gucci or Givenchy Friday! Our community project for today: pick one and make your case, or wear one of each.

What brand and fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

I do not have any big opinion on Gucci vs Givenchy — neither one is a favorite fragrance brand. My plan for today was to wear Givenchy Organza Indecence on one arm and original Gucci Homme on the other. But I am not feeling at all well (I started treatment for Lyme disease yesterday) and the very idea makes me feel a little queasy. I am commando but looking forward to seeing what everyone else picked…

Happy Playlist Friday! Our community project for today: name a favorite song, and wear a perfume that fits the song.

I had it in mind to do something for Van Morrison’s joyful Did Ye Get Healed today, and then a very kind Easter Bunny sent me a decant of the lovely L’Artisan Séville à l’Aube. With the backstory and all, that might go just perfectly with something like Sweet Thing or Into The Mystic? But then as soon as I sprayed it on this morning I thought of Suzanne, by the late, great Leonard Cohen. So, Suzanne it is.* We will have do another Playlist project next year or something…
