Friday scent of the day 7/14

Posted by Robin on 14 July 2017 294 Comments

Happy Bastille Day! And yes, I know the French don’t say Happy Bastille Day, or anything like it. Which makes it an even better fit for our community project: see if you might possibly have anything French in your collection that you could wear today? Plus extra points for extra-French-ness, or for silly perfume Frenchification.

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

I did not plan well for this project when I was packing for vacation. I am not going to be accruing any extra points, but I am wearing French: Hermès Un Jardin Sur Le Nil body lotion…

Happy Sports Friday! (And, happy World Chocolate Day.) Our community project for today: wear a sports scent! If you just can’t go there, wear the sort of fragrance you think one might actually wear while doing something sporty.

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

After a week of perfect weather, we are expecting rain today. My sporting plans: finish the really nasty sections of the jigsaw puzzle we started yesterday. As a sign of support for the Tour de France cyclists, see if I can eat the 6000 calories they burn each day. Perhaps a wee nap? My scent for all of that is the ever-versatile Terre d’Hermès…

Happy Bottle Porn Friday! (Plus, Asteroid Day, if you don’t have enough worries already.) Our community project for today: wear a fragrance that you bought because you were drawn to the aesthetics of the bottle, or just wear a fragrance from a bottle you think is perfect. Thanks to chocolatemarzipan8 for the idea!

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

I had a hard time choosing today, but in the end I went with one of my favorite bottles from 2016, Starck Paris Peau de Pierre…

The first Friday of summer! Our community project for today: wear one of your “top 10 of summer” fragrances (unless it’s winter where you are, in which case wear one of your “top 10 of winter” scents).

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

I’m wearing good old Parfum d’Empire Azemour Les Orangers, from my own Top 10 of Summer 2012 list…

Hey, it’s Oddball Friday! (Plus, happy Bloomsday.) Our community project for today: wear a fragrance that smells like nothing else you own, or interpret oddball in some other oddball way. Thank you Austenfan for the suggestion!

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

I went with Sarah Jessica Parker Covet, an oddball in the celebrity fragrance market (and I stole the idea from Sapphire, who wore it yesterday)…
