Friday scent of the day 8/3

Posted by Robin on 3 August 2018 376 Comments

It’s Friday, and even better, it’s the first Friday in Peach Month! Our community project for today: wear a peach fragrance.

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

It was sheer luck that I found my Parfums de Nicolaï L’Eau à la Folie fairly quickly last night, because it was not where it should have been. Anyway, I do smell peachy…

Whew, Friday is here! And it’s the Buck Moon aka Thunder Moon tonight, plus, it’s a blood moon. Our community project for today: pick your poison for the full moon.

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

Friday scent of the day 7/20

Welcome to the Cocktail Party! Our community project for today: tell us about your favorite cocktail (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), provide a recipe if you like, and wear a perfume that would complement your choice. It doesn’t have to be a boozy fragrance!

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

Happy Friday the 13th, happy birthday to Harrison Ford and Patrick Stewart, and happy Aquatic Friday! Our community project for today: wear an aquatic fragrance, or something meant to evoke the sea.

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

My pick, although I won’t put it on until later today: 4160Tuesday What I Did On My Holidays.

Reminder: on 7/20 we’re having a Cocktail Party…

Friday scent of the day 7/6

Hey, it’s Friday and it’s Frida Kahlo’s birthday. Our community project for today: do what you like with the Frida Kahlo theme! (Kevin wrote about a perfume she actually wore in A Celebrity’s Scent: Frida Kahlo & Dana Emir.)

What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.

For the Frida Kahlo painting Time Flies, which she completed in 1929 (and which you can read more about here), I went with Tauer Perfumes Sotto La Luna Tuberose. I ought to provide some detailed exegesis, but really it was just a gut reaction…
