Tommy Hilfiger True Star Men cologneTommy Hilfiger will launch True Star Men in August with an ad campaign featuring Enrique Iglesias. The juice features “top notes of pink grapefruit and wet notes, a heart of orris and juicy black licorice and a drydown of sandalwood, saffron and vanilla.” (via Women's Wear Daily) Tommy Hilfiger True Star Men is an Eau de Toilette, and is available in 30 and 50 ml.

Kenneth Cole will introduce Kenneth Cole Signature for men in September…

En Passant by Frederic Malle Editions de Parfums ~ fragrance review

Frederic Malle En Passant perfumelilac

En Passant was released in 2000 by Frederic Malle, who opened his fragrance house, Editions de Parfums, in Paris that same year. En Passant was created by Olivia Giacobetti, one of the 7 perfumers originally given carte blanche by Malle to create whatever fragrance they wanted. According to Chandler Burr, En Passant “was born in the instant that Giacobetti somewhere on a street in her native Italy passed a bakery and a florist and got pastry, flowers, and street all at once”. The notes are white lilac, watery notes, orange tree leaves, cucumber, and wheat.

En Passant starts with sweet, lush lilac, but that stage does not last long…

Le Parfum de Thérèse was created by Edmond Roudnitska for his wife during the 1960s, and was not made available publicly until after his death, when Frederic Malle procured the formula for his line. Les Senteurs

There is a nice article in last Sunday’s Independent (link to article no longer active, sorry!) about the London boutique Les Senteurs, which celebrates its 25th anniversary of business this year. The author interviewed James Craven, the store’s assistant manager:
