No room at the top

Bloom says that for the past 10 years, seven out of the 10 top-selling luxury fragrances in the U.S. have remained the same. For example, Donna Karan's flowery Cashmere Mist, which first launched in 1994, and the truly timeless Chanel No. 5, which has adorned women since 1921.

Win a Fifi-nominated fragrance

Starting today, the Fragrance Foundation will be giving away one Fifi-nominated fragrance every day at 5 pm on their Facebook page — all you need to do is become a fan and leave a comment, although only residents of the US are eligible to win. Today's fragrance prize is Avon's Reese Witherspoon In Bloom, and there at least 11 more to come.

Fifi Awards logo 2010

The Fragrance Foundation has announced the finalists for the 2010 Fifi Awards, known as the “Oscars of the fragrance industry”. For each category, the original list of 10 semi-finalists is now whittled down to 5 (or more, in the case of a tie). Consumer voting begins on April 28; the final awards will be presented on June 10.
