The daily lemming

A (not perfume) lemming for Gingerbread House Day (for those of us far too lazy to make an actual Gingerbread House): the limited edition Gingerbread chocolate bar from Compartés in Los Angeles. "Compartés' Gingerbread chocolate bar is studded with golden spicy gingerbread cookies and crystallized ginger pieces on a bed of Compartés decadent gourmet dark chocolate. Perfect for a holiday stocking stuffer or, better yet, just to snack on as a gift to yourself. It's the best of all things gingerbread and chocolate crammed into one delicious holiday bar." $12.95 at Ministry of Scent.

This double-wicked curl of beeswax is no ordinary room freshener

Though its name simply means “scented candle” in Thai, this double-wicked curl of beeswax is no ordinary room freshener. Tian op is a flavoring agent, or rather, a scenting agent, used to enhance specific dishes in Thai cuisine.

Chefs light the U-shaped candle at both ends, place it on top of the food to be scented, and cover it with a lid.

From French artisanal chocolate company Maison Bonange, the Noir 70% Bio & Géranium bar: "The Porcelain Trianon was designed by Louis le Vau for the Sun King and included beds of rare and fragrant flowers. One can imagine that geranium flowers, very fashionable at that time, lined the paths of the gardens. In memory of this sumptuous building that disappeared in 1687, Maison Bonange offers you a tablet in which floral flavors are superimposed on the delicacy of a powerful and generous chocolate." 80g for $7 at Beautyhabit.
