Miss Boucheron by Boucheron ~ fragrance review

Posted by Robin on 24 May 2007 29 Comments

Miss Boucheron perfume by Boucheron

Miss Boucheron is the latest fragrance from the French jewelry house Boucheron, and like most everything else from everyone else, is positioned to attract younger consumers to the brand. In this case, the target market is said to be 25-35 year old women:

“This is for young women who can allow themselves certain liberties,” said Jean-Christophe Bdos [sic, = Bedos], chief executive officer of Boucheron. “Miss Boucheron is there to upset the status quo. She is a modern woman.” (via Women’s Wear Daily, 3/2/2007)

Miss Boucheron was developed by perfumers Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion, and the notes include bergamot, pomegranate, pink pepper, cyclamen, violet, rose, white suede, cedar and musk…

Perfume books: Sur Les Routes de L’Encens by Annick Le Guerer

Jennifer Lopez Live advertJennifer Lopez Live Luxe fragrance

Jennifer Lopez launched Live, her fourth fragrance, last year. Live was developed by perfumer Dominique Ropion, and the notes include lemon, orange, pineapple, redcurrant, peony, violet, caramel, tonka beans, vanilla and sandalwood.

Not surprisingly, Live is a fruity floral — hey, almost all celebrity fragrance releases these days are fruity florals, and despite what I keep reading about how the trends are changing, it sometimes seems like at least 90% of all fragrance releases are fruity florals, and sweet ones at that. It isn’t my favorite category so it doesn’t exactly strike joy in my heart, but if it is yours, I don’t think you have anything to worry about for the near future…
