The almost-daily lemming

From OHOM, the Jun Self-Heating Diffuser: "Add a fresh, inviting scent to any room with this handcrafted ceramic diffuser set that only needs a little water and a few drops of oil to create an aromatic sanctuary. The diffuser holds 5 oz. and comes with a special charger that uses induction energy to heat up the metallic layering on the bottom of the diffuser. And as an added bonus, the warming base doubles as a wireless phone or earbud charger." Shown in Moonmist Blue, $98 at Nordstrom, where you'll also find it in 6 other colors.

From Vörda, a wood diffuser (as low tech as you can get: it has a small cavity on the top where you drop the oil) in Japanese Cypress: "A simple yet elegant design inspired by "vās", the Latin word for a vessel that is often used for carrying flowers. Handcrafted from the wood of the Japanese hinoki cypress tree. Native to Japan in East Asia, the hinoki cypress has been long cherished for its subtle and crisp scent of fresh lemon, and ornamental qualities. The delicate pale yellow of the wood adds a touch of light to your décor." In two sizes, Small for $39 and Large for $48; oils sold separately, the Hinoki cypress oil is $24 for 100 ml but  you can mix and match woods and oils. At Vörda.

From Diptyque, the Culbuto Oscillating diffuser in Baies: "One simple gesture activates the Culbuto, diffusing notes of Baies (Berries). The rocker arm amplifies these, its motion evoking memories of childhood. The Culbuto is an unusual, intriguing object comprising a sphere of solid wood and a ceramic stick that releases green notes of blackcurrant berries mingled with flowery rose accents. It is endlessly refillable." $285 at Diptyque. To refill, you replace the ceramic stick, $65.

From Frédéric Malle, the USB-rechargeable Fleur Mécanique II diffuser: "To create Fleur Mécanique II, Frédéric Malle concocted, like a mad scientist, a device that is both simple and wonderfully complex which adapts the scents to each person’s space and mood. The fan allows one to control the intensity, duration, and frequency of diffusion of one's favorite perfume. Using dimmers and timers, the perfume is diffused at the desired intensity. Effortless and instantaneous, the cartridge can be changed in the blink of an eye to adapt a home fragrance to one's mood. An immediate change of atmosphere." $730 at Saks; the cartridges (sold separately, available in Jurassic Flower, Café Society, Saints des Saints, Rosa Rugosa and 1er Mai) are $60.

From the Oriente Italiano collection at Ginori 1735, (pretty but spendy) home fragrances for Holiday 2023: "Two new fragrances explore new olfactory universes: Cuoio Rosso, with its fruity-woody notes, emanates a vibrant energy in the room. Vicolo Dell'Oro, with refreshing floral and musky notes, to accompany moments of pleasant relaxation." Neiman Marcus has a bunch of the items for pre-order, including the candles in 250g ($210) and 700g ($420), the candle vase (right rear, $880) and its refill (far right, 1520g, $190), the diffuser in 200 ml ($180) or 500 ml ($270), and the diffuser vase (shown above center, $1350). Also shown are the two scented stone boxes (which appear to be sold separately from the actual stones with diffuser oil) those are not at Neiman Marcus as of yet.
