The daily lemming

Cocofloss has expanded their offerings since I last checked in (and I think raised their prices, too). Here's the Neapolitan Trio, with 32 yards each of Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Bean and Pure Strawberries dental floss, $29 at Beautyhabit, where you'll also find the Cocofloss limited edition flavor, Passionfruit, for $10.

More dental care options from Avon: Perioe Tooth Balm Toothpaste in Earl Grey Tea Mint ("Enjoy your aah moment of zen with this Earl Grey tea and mint-flavored tooth balm, flavored by professional perfumers. It’s not a paste…it’s a luxurious balm for teeth. Lusciously textured with rich flavor and a sparkling fresh aftertaste. Not to mention, the phosphate formula will make your smile super bright. Fluoride-free, cruelty-free and paraben-free for your green and healthy life."), Charcoal Eucalyptus Mint or Lemon Basil Mint. $8 for 100g.

Avon's fluoride-free Avon Perioe Himalaya Pink Salt Toothpaste, in Floral Mint. (I can't find a description of that flavor anywhere, unfortunately.) "Mineral-rich, Himalayan pink salt, a natural ingredient that effectively helps to clean teeth. Creamy paste in a convenient, easy-to-use pump." $12 for the 285g pump or $6 for a 100g tube (note that the pump is creamy toothpaste and the tube is gel toothpaste).

Thanks to a kind tip from Pyramus, I already have a tube on the way: Marvis Black Forest toothpaste. "Inspired by the rich German delicacy, this toothpaste combines the sweet taste of cherry and chocolate with fresh mint to create an inventive flavor. Unlike the cake, the toothpaste helps prevent cavities by removing plaque and tartar to give you strong and healthy teeth." I paid $10.50 for 75 ml at Fendrihan, but this morning they appear to be sold out. Other new flavors you can see if you can get your hands on: Anise Mint, Orange Blossom (yes, I bought that too) and Sweet & Sour Rhubarb.

This caught my eye first because chocolate, then because of the price. Theodent's Fluoride-Free Chocolate Toothpaste ("Presenting a non-toxic, fluoride-free alternative to traditional toothpastes, Theodent harnesses the power of natural ingredients to provide protection for the whole family. With cocoa beans and Rennou – an extract found in chocolate – this revolutionary formula will strengthen the teeth enamel without posing harm if swallowed.") is £140 for 96g at Harrods. (In the US, you can find it on Amazon for about $125. There is a much cheaper kid's version for about $16.) Why doesn't Marvis make a chocolate toothpaste?
