Remember those Fauchon Angel éclairs? Here's your next chance to eat some Angel: La Maison du Chocolat's upcoming chocolate collaboration with Thierry Mugler. 14 chocolates in four Angel-inspired flavors — Celestial is milk chocolate with citrus; Delicious is cotton candy, marshmallow, red fruits and almond-hazelnut praline; Voluptuous is dark chocolate ganache with patchouli and vanilla; Star is a fruity Madagascar chocolate. Due to launch next month, $45. (via Food & Wine)

Theo Salted Black Licorice

This Salted Black Licorice 70% Dark Chocolate bar is one of two flavors the Theo brand did for Valentine's Day 2017 (the other is My Cherry Baby, which is a milk chocolate bar with dried cherries). I bought one a couple weeks ago, loved it, and by the time I went back the store was already out of them. They are still selling them on the Theo website, $4 each. I am thinking about it. I am also thinking about these Rose Cardamom Espresso Chocolate Bars, but they're pretty expensive. If you're thinking about chocolate, do tell us all about it.

Absolutely. The track they followed looked like the zigzag of a dog’s trail.

Hurwitz describes Dark Moon as a “chocolate chypre” with notes of red wine, dark chocolate, bergamot, spice, jasmine, rose, resins, vanilla, and oak moss. Intrigued? Yes, me too…

Holiday fragrance gifts 2016, part 1

Posted by Robin on 29 November 2016 38 Comments

Today, the first in our eight-part series on fragrance related holiday gifts. We’re starting off late (we usually start on Black Friday, but lateness is one of my personal themes for 2016) and we’re starting off (relatively) cheap, with stocking stuffers and cheap thrills. Do add any of your own recommendations in the comments!
