Naomi Campbell will launch Winter Kiss in October. The fragrance is described as a variation on her 1999 debut fragrance release, Naomi Campbell. Winter Kiss has notes of bergamot, star anise, pink pepper, vanilla, musk, sandalwood and cedar.
Rihanna for the Clinique Happy fragrance
As previously reported, Clinique has commissioned two songs to advertise their best-selling Happy fragrance, created in 1997 by perfumers Jean Claude Delville and Rodgrigo Flores-Roux. The lyrics are by Ne-Yo, and you can find them on his website....Just as long as it makes you happy, if it makes you happy, just be happy...
With Love Hilary Duff: online video
The website for With Love Hilary Duff now features a video of Hilary Duff. You can get an invitation to see it by signing up with your name and email address. The invitation then promises "an exclusive video about the making of my new fragrance", but what they really mean is "an exclusive video about the making of my new fragrance advertising"; it is just shots of Duff posing in various outfits.
New fragrances: Hierbas de Ibiza & Lindsay Lohan
Hierbas de Ibiza will launch Colonia Solida, a solid perfume based on its classic Eau de Cologne, this fall. The limited edition is in a sterling silver box and retails for $375.
Lindsay Lohan is rumored to be in talks with Coty to develop her own perfume line. Mind you, we're still at the rumor stage. (both above via Women's Wear Daily)
On celebrity fragrances: Roja Dove in the Guardian
Roja Dove, of the Roja Dove Haute Parfumerie at Harrods, smells the latest celebrity perfume releases and finds most of them lacking:
He begins with Intimately Beckham. David's fares well: "The woods, the resins are actually rather good: cedarwood, myrrh, it has an amber note in it. It's a potentially nice smell. It has character," he says. With better ingredients it would be "a very, very interesting scent".
