"Woman of a Scent", in yesterday's New York Times, looks at the advertising campaign behind the recent With Love Hilary Duff fragrance release, while "Please Let It Be Whale Vomit, Not Just Sea Junk" (really!) recounts one woman's quest to find out if a huge lump of something found by the sea is really ambergris. Thanks to Ruth for the link!

Can humans follow a scent trail as well as dogs? Maybe.

Noticed how nice it smells inside a Sony store lately?

Paris Hilton Heiress is a fruity floral — no surprise there — and the notes include passion fruit, orange, peach granita, champagne mimosa, star jasmine, tiare flower, ylang ylang, honeysuckle, dewberry blossom, grenadine, violet leaf, vetiver, tonka bean and blonde woods…

Gwen Stefani signs with Coty

Posted by Robin on 7 December 2006 4 Comments

The rumor is true; singer Gwen Stefani has signed a deal with Coty and will launch her first perfume under her own brand label, L.A.M.B., in the fall of 2007:

“I love to collaborate—meaning I love to get my own way—and Coty is good about giving me that freedom,” she said. Stefani described the yet-to-be-named first fragrance, which will debut in fall 2007, as “classic.” (via cosmeticnews)
