The Gucci Fumus Cameo candle lit up all my lemming neurons: "A blend of wax infused with aromatic extracts and essential oils is presented in Richard Ginori porcelain featuring the cameo motif with a matching lid. The scent, Fumus, captures the dark and intense fragrance of birch, combined with bright notes of orange leaves and beeswax—aromas that would have filled an artisan's Florentine workshop." 68 hour burn time, $310. But no worries, "The porcelain jar can be reused as a decorative accent or container. See, it's a bargain!

A (relatively economical) way to get into the Halloween spirit: Yankee Candle's limited edition Witches' Brew pillar. "The Pillar Candles are our sleekest grouping—a straight-sided, modern design that complements any home décor or setting. The peel-away label creates a versatile décor option that's especially elegant in multiple candle arrangements with differing sizes....The spicy sweet aroma of exotic patchouli casts a captivating spell!" $19.99, and other options include Forbidden Apple (skull and crossbones design) and Haunted Hollow ("dark piney woods with a ghostly trail of sweet incense", jack o lantern design).

Diptyque is making their city exclusive candles available online for 10 days. Shown is the Miami candle (other options include Shanghai, London, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Berlin) : "The scent of the Miami candle offers an exotic aroma of delicate magnolia blossoms enhanced by delicious citrus notes. Reminiscent of the tangy lemon and lime native to the city, the candle suggests hints of vanilla while xx [sic] to the tropical atmosphere. Its design pays homage to the city’s iconic Art Deco architecture, lively atmosphere and unique culture." $70 at Diptyque.

Thymes Simmered Cider

I am still hoping for a nice Indian Summer, but when that's over, a Simmered Cider Candle ("A simmering blend of freshly-pressed apples mulled with crushed clove and cardamom, with hints of bourbon") in a reusable copper mug sounds nice, no? $32 at Thymes.
