I am sure to run out of candle collaborations eventually, right? But here's one more: from Floral Street, another collaboration with the the Van Gogh Museum (see Sunflower Pop). The Sweet Almond Blossom home collection includes the candle (shown, "Branches of soft white almond blossoms dancing against a crisp blue sky. Inspired by one of Vincent van Gogh's favourite subjects, this is a scent to signify the first buds of spring. Delicate florals, infused with creamy vanilla, green matcha and a touch of tonka bean. A fresh take on nature's masterpiece", £34 for 200g) plus a reed diffuser (£34 for 100 ml).

Yet another candle collaboration, this one from Jo Malone and Richard Quinn, who has done up a new iteration of Tuberose Angelica. "This limited edition Jo Malone London candle features a floral print conceptualized by fashion designer Richard Quinn. The decorative print reflects its sumptuous, white floral scent." (The print on the outer box, shown at right missing its top, is pretty spiffy too.) $130 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Another day, another candle collaboration? Jo Malone has teamed up with Michelin-starred chef Jean-François Piège: "The new Violet Leaf & Bergamot candle celebrates three main notes: steamed rice, violet leaf and bergamot. ‘One of my most beloved cooking smells is the aroma of freshly steamed rice. The rice steam is very special to me. Years ago, in a restaurant I used to own, the kitchen was preparing some rice for the staff lunch, and my office was just above the window. The smell was sensational. It filled the room with an enveloping, warm and comforting aroma. In that moment, I knew this was the welcoming atmosphere I wanted to recreate through my dishes. So today I do the same. To me, rice is one of the most beautiful scents I’ve ever smelt, so it was the starting point for the candle’, states Jean-François." Developed by perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui, £62 at Jo Malone UK.

From cent.ldn, a limited edition Citrus Bloom candle in collaboration with Tanqueray (and yes, it is exactly the size and shape of the Tanqueray No. Ten gin bottle): "Bursting onto the scene in March ‘20, cent.ldn is on a mission to tell a story through its unique and exclusive candles. That’s where this limited-edition No. Ten candle comes in, inspired by Tanqueray No. Ten. Custom-made, hand-poured, and crafted in London, it's made from natural olive wax that’s scented with fresh accords reminiscent of the rich aromas of the spirit." £140 for 1100g at Selfridges.

From Oribe, the Desertland candle: "Transform your atmosphere into the warm air of a green, blooming desert. Our scented candle opens with bright, crisp notes of juniper berry and aromatic lavender wrapped in sunstruck pine and Texas cedarwood, capturing both the sandy heat of the day and cool vastness of the still night." $78 for 227g at Oribe.
