The daily lemming
A lemming for fans of Byredo Lil Fleur, maybe: limited edition 100 ml bottles with colored caps. There are six colors, and the price is the same as for the regular black cap. At Selfridges in the UK (£170) or Niche Beauty in Germany (€187).
Hygge in a perfume
It has the same pleasure as drinking whiskey on the rocks, the way the ice sweetens the sip before it bites you back. This is a cider-in-an-armchair-while-doing-a-puzzle smell; a rereading-Shirley-Jackson’s-The-Haunting-of-Hill-House-for-the-umpteenth-time smell. It is honeyed and cozy, hygge in a perfume. This is the kind of fragrance you wear if you want to be your own dad.
