I am sorry I have not been able to post much this week, and I will not be able to post at all today. Jessica will be reviewing some Annick Goutal roses tomorrow, and things will be back to normal on Saturday, starting with an open thread poll.

Coming up this weekend: haiku challenge

Just a quick note to say that this coming weekend, Jill be hosting a repeat of last year's popular Haiku challenge. Sharpen your pencils! The rules will be the same: pick a perfume, write a haiku about it using the simplified English form (three lines, the first line with five syllables, the second line with seven syllables and the third line with five syllables). You can put the perfume name in the title or in the poem itself.

And if you have a great idea for a poll topic, do leave a comment!

New contributors & a few other business items

Look for two new contributors at Now Smell This this month. First, Alyssa H (many of you know her from Perfume Smellin’ Things) will kick off (and explain) her ‘Out of the Bottle’ series tomorrow. Next week, our new book reviewer, Cheryl K, will weigh in on Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster by Dana Thomas.

New public profiles for gravatars

All of you who have taken the time to create a gravatar at gravatar.com have a new option: you can now create a public profile associated with your gravatar.1 Public profiles can include any information you want: your email address, links to your website(s), your accounts on various social media services, whatever.
